Augusta National, April 2024
JAugusta, GA (April 2024) – The Warrior’s Journey Golf delivered its most unforgettable mission to date at Augusta National Golf Club during The Masters Tournament, continuing its mission of using golf as a vehicle for healing both physical and invisible wounds.
Simply put… does it get any better? We don’t think so.
The week began with a warm welcome dinner at the beautiful home we shared with our veterans. From the start, the energy was special. Each warrior received custom Inspiring Warriors Golf and The Warrior’s Journey gear—three shirts, a pullover, a custom hat, and a Nexbelt—all styled in iconic Masters colors. Augusta in early spring… you could feel something special coming.
The next day opened with a powerful workshop led by Kevin Weaver. It quickly became one of the most meaningful moments of the week. Warriors and PGA Professionals alike leaned in, sharing openly and authentically—conversations that don’t happen often, but matter deeply when they do. From there, we headed to Topgolf for some swings, great food, and an unforgettable moment watching a solar eclipse together.
Monday night brought a truly special gathering. PGA legends Bob Ford, Bill Stine, and Darrel Kestner joined us, along with Mike Rowley, creating an elite and intimate atmosphere. Then came a moment none of us will forget—Teddy Scott stopped by straight from Augusta National, sharing incredible insight into life inside the ropes, including his work with Bubba Watson and Scottie Scheffler. It was rare air… and everyone felt it.
Then came the day.
Our time at Augusta National Golf Club was beyond anything words can fully capture. We experienced moments that even most Masters patrons never will. For our warriors, it wasn’t just a visit—it was a once-in-a-lifetime memory etched forever.
As if that wasn’t enough, the week closed with an incredible presentation from Blue Angels pilot John Foley. His message, rooted in the Blue Angels’ debrief mindset, landed with power and clarity. He left us with a phrase that now carries even deeper meaning:
“Glad to Be Here.”
Golf. The places you go. The people you meet. The lessons you learn.
And most importantly… the time you spend with your friends—your brothers and sisters—your battle buddies.
