every journey needs a waypoint

WAYPOINT is a series of immersive, small-group experiences created for Warriors navigating the invisible wounds of service, transition, isolation, and loss of purpose.

Through brotherhood, challenge, reflection, mentorship, and meaningful connection, Warriors are given space to pause, reset, and rediscover the path ahead.

Designed for groups of just 8–12 Warriors, each WAYPOINT experience is intentionally curated to foster authentic relationships, meaningful conversations, and lasting transformation.

what is waypoint?

A Waypoint Is More Than A Destination

A waypoint is a marker along a journey.

A place to regroup.
To reorient.
To refuel.
And prepare for what comes next.

For many Warriors, life after service can become marked by isolation, disconnection, unresolved trauma, and the quiet loss of identity and purpose. The transition out of military service often leaves invisible wounds that are difficult to explain and even harder to navigate alone.

WAYPOINT was created to interrupt that isolation.

Each experience brings together a carefully selected cohort of 8–12 Warriors in intentionally designed environments that foster trust, reflection, challenge, spiritual grounding, and genuine brotherhood.

These are not large conferences or traditional retreats.

WAYPOINT experiences are immersive, relational, and deeply intentional. Every location, conversation, activity, and interaction is designed to help Warriors reconnect with themselves, with others, and with the possibility of hope and purpose ahead.

WHAT HAPPENS AT A WAYPOINT?

No two WAYPOINT experiences are exactly the same. Each one is uniquely designed around the environment, the Warriors involved, and the opportunities for connection and growth that emerge along the journey.

But every WAYPOINT is built around several core pillars:

BROTHERHOOD

Healing rarely happens in isolation.

WAYPOINT creates space for authentic relationships to form between Warriors who understand the weight of service, transition, leadership, loss, and invisible wounds. Many participants leave with lifelong friendships and a renewed sense of belonging.

CHALLENGE

Growth often begins outside of comfort.

Whether through outdoor adventure, golf, shared experiences, physical activity, or intentional challenges, Warriors are encouraged to engage fully, rebuild confidence, and rediscover strengths that may have felt dormant for years.

REFLECTION

Modern life rarely leaves space to slow down.

WAYPOINT intentionally creates moments for reflection, meaningful conversation, and honest dialogue about identity, purpose, faith, struggle, leadership, family, and the realities of life after service.

PURPOSE

Many Warriors leave the military with the question:
“What now?”

WAYPOINT helps Warriors begin exploring the next chapter of their journey through mentorship, conversation, encouragement, and connection with others who have walked similar paths.

RESTORATION

Sometimes healing begins simply by being seen, valued, and understood.

Through immersive environments, intentional care, meaningful experiences, and spiritual grounding, Warriors are reminded that their story is not over and that hope still exists ahead.

WHY IT MATTERS

Invisible Wounds Are Real

Not every wound can be seen.

For many Warriors, the battles that follow military service are fought internally through isolation, depression, anxiety, trauma, loss of identity, broken relationships, addiction, and hopelessness.

Too many continue to suffer silently.

At The Warrior’s Journey, we believe healing begins through connection, trust, purpose, and community.

In 2025 alone, TWJ conducted more than 1,100 successful suicide interventions with a 99.8% success rate.

WAYPOINT exists as an extension of that mission.

By creating environments where Warriors can slow down, build authentic relationships, experience meaningful conversations, and reconnect with purpose, WAYPOINT helps create space for transformation that often continues long after the experience ends.

stand with those who served

For many wounded veterans, the hardest battles come after service. Healing requires more than time, it requires connection, purpose, and people willing to walk alongside them.

Your generosity helps create spaces where veterans find community, encouragement, and renewed strength through golf and shared experience. When you give, you help remind them they are not walking this road alone.
