“Daddy’s Home”
A Veteran’s Story of Hope
Gabriel Axtell served 12 years as a MARSOC Marine – the Corps’ elite Special Operations – until injuries forced his retirement. Lost without purpose, he reached his darkest moment – but a single phone call to The Warriors Journey changed everything. Today, Gabriel helps fellow veterans find the same hope that saved his life.
INSPIRING WARRIORS…
through Golf
THE WARRIOR’S JOURNEY GOLF program supports wounded service members through adaptive golf experiences led by PGA professionals, board members, and supporters from across the golf community. These weeks are about far more than instruction — they are about connection, confidence, and healing.
Adaptive golf presents unique challenges. Many participants face amputations, service animals, emotional trauma, and ongoing physical and mental rehabilitation. Our mission is to meet those challenges with compassion, patience, and purpose — helping warriors rediscover belief in themselves and their future.
THE WARRIOR’S JOURNEY GOLF initiative brings wounded service members to world-class destination courses for an unforgettable week of golf, camaraderie, and inspiration. They raised their right hand to protect our freedoms — this is our way of saying thank you, by giving them the very best the game of golf has to offer.

BOB FORD
There are great organizations that help warriors with the physical wounds of combat, but often the invisible wounds go unrecognized. Healing invisible wounds is the key to real strength and resilience.
Recognizing the Challenges
The military creates a set of unique challenges that most people don’t recognize. These invisible wounds often lead to isolation, addiction, and suicide. The Warrior’s Journey provides warrior-to-warrior intervention and preventative resources to care for these invisible wounds.

Tell us about the challenge you’re facing.

We’ll connect you with another warrior by branch, role, rank, and gender.

They’ll help you find the right resources and support.
