IMPACT THAT SAVES LIVES
Every day, 22 veterans commit suicide, 18% of all American suicides.
Veterans are responsible for almost 21% of domestic violence.
1 in 10 returning soldiers seen in VA have a problem with alcohol or other drugs.

THE REALITY OUR WARRIORS FACE
Each day, veterans across our country struggle with challenges that most civilians will never fully understand – trauma, transition, and the invisible wounds that follow them home.
• Veterans remain disproportionately affected by suicide
• Substance misuse and strained relationships are common during reintegration
• Many warriors face these challenges alone, disconnected from community and support
But of all the challenges our warriors face, isolation is often the most dangerous.
4,900+ lives saved through crisis intervention
Behind this number are real men and women – fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, teammates – who were met in moments of deep crisis and didn’t have to face them alone. Through timely connection, trusted relationships, and ongoing aftercare, The Warrior’s Journey has been part of more than 4,900 successful suicide interventions, helping warriors choose life and take their next step forward.
ISOLATION IS THE REAL ENEMY
Whether challenges arise on the battlefield, at work, at home – or all three – resiliency is what keeps warriors and families moving forward.
Resiliency isn’t just physical or mental strength.
It’s social and spiritual strength, built through trust, purpose, and community.
And community doesn’t happen in a waiting room.
why golf WORKS
Golf creates something rare and powerful for warriors:
-
Side-by-side conversations instead of face-to-face pressure
-
Shared challenge without forced vulnerability
-
Time, space, and rhythm that invite trust naturally
On the course, walls come down. Conversations open up. Warriors reconnect -with themselves and with each other.
Golf is not the solution.
Golf is the doorway.
PROVEN IMPACT THROUGH TWJ
Since launching in 2016, The Warrior’s Journey has made a measurable, life-saving impact in the military community:
-
Presented to 310,000+ warriors and military leaders
-
Provided ongoing case-management support to 6,729 warriors in crisis in 2023
-
Saved 389 lives through suicide interventions in 2023
-
2,087 total suicide interventions since inception
These aren’t statistics.
They represent fathers, mothers, spouses, sons, daughters – and lives redirected toward hope.
THE ROLE OF THE WARRIOR’S JOURNEY GOLF
The Warrior’s Journey Golf exists to reach warriors who might never raise their hand for help.
We meet them where they are – on the course.
We build trust through shared experience.
And when the week ends, the journey does not.
Every TWJG event intentionally connects warriors into The Warrior’s Journey’s aftercare system – ensuring support continues long after the final putt drops.
MOMENTS OF COURAGE AND CONNECTION

stand with those who served
For many wounded veterans, the hardest battles come after service. Healing requires more than time, it requires connection, purpose, and people willing to walk alongside them.
Your generosity helps create spaces where veterans find community, encouragement, and renewed strength through golf and shared experience. When you give, you help remind them they are not walking this road alone.
